About Us

There has been a community of Baptists in Berkhamsted since 1640. This makes us one of the earliest established Baptist churches in the country.

As followers of Jesus we gather to worship God; to love and care for one another; and to offer hope to the people who live and work in our town and beyond. 

Whether you are young, old or in the middle somewhere, whether you have never stepped foot in a church, have not been for a long time or have been part of a church for years, there is a place for you within our church family. Don’t worry if you unsure about what you believe about God and have lots of questions, we love that!

People belong to Berkhamsted Baptist Church in all kinds of ways. Many gather in our building on a Sunday morning for worship and are part of smaller groups that meet throughout the week, others are connected through our activities.
